Job description
Overview

Coordinator Base Support – Qantas Perth-based Pilots. Full time, permanent position. Based at Perth Domestic Airport Terminal.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Base Manager and Manager Base Performance in managing day-to-day operational and people-related functions for Qantas Flight Crew across Perth base.
  • Coordinate base operations to foster a high-performing, engaged, and safety-focused workforce.
  • Oversee flight crew leave and attendance management, scheduling support, aircrew licensing, award interpretation, and coordinating numerous base events.
  • Manage administrative processes at national and base levels; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support operational efficiency.
  • Generate reports such as flight crew leave; support remuneration and scheduling matters; contribute to people safety and operational issue resolution.
  • Operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; support sensitive people matters; back frontline teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Operational experience in Aircrew Operations or experience in a complex operational environment.
  • Understanding of current Industrial Relations & commercial issues affecting resourcing & scheduling.
  • Understanding of crew Enterprise Agreements and work rules is highly desirable.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to consult and liaise with key stakeholders.
  • High level computer competency; proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ability to learn new technology quickly.
  • Proven organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks with demanding deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritise and meet structured time constraints when work is allocated from multiple managers.
  • Experience analysing, reviewing and implementing efficient administrative processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
