Job summary

Yalla in Botany is hiring a casual Picker & Pack­er to join our team. This hands-on role involves picking refrigerated products and carefully packing cartons for supermarkets and independent stores. You will work ~30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with no weekends.

The job requires accuracy, speed, and comfort in a coolroom. Previous picking/packing experience is essential; ability to lift 10–15kg and work independently or in a small team is needed.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on picking and packing experience is essential.
• Good with numbers and details.
• Accurate when picking and checking orders.
• Comfortable working in a coolroom.
• Able to work at a good pace without sacrificing accuracy.
• Able to safely lift and handle 10–15kg.
• Reliable, punctual and keen to work.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team.
• Experience picking and packing food or other delicate products would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Hand-picking products for supermarkets and individual store orders
• Carefully packing cartons accurately and efficiently
• Checking products, quantities and dates
• Stock rotation and movement within the coolroom
• Preparing completed orders for dispatch
• Daily stocktakes and basic documentation
• Regular manual handling of cartons weighing 10–15kg
• Keeping the coolroom organised and tidy
