Job summary

Lactalis in Darwin's Stuart Park area is seeking a permanent, full-time Warehouse Operator to join the end-of-production line team. The role involves unloading, stacking, picking, packing, and dispatching finished goods, with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities

• Unload and stack crates of finished product for storage, picking and distribution.
• Accurately pick, palletise, label, and dispatch orders with timely truck loading.
• Operate forklifts safely, adhering to site safety protocols.
• Maintain stock integrity through correct receiving, storage, and issuing of goods.
• Ensure orders are supported by accurate documentation and report disruptions.
• Uphold housekeeping and hygiene standards; assist in training new staff.

About The Opportunity

A permanent full time opportunity exists to join a world leading dairy Company based in Stuart Park, Darwin. This is a hands-on manual role based within the Cool Room team at the end of the production line moving and stacking the finished product ready for picking and distribution. Experience in picking and packing of product to customer orders and a high risk forklift license is essential. We are a close knit team, so effective communication skills and teamwork are a must.

Duties Include

• Unloading and stacking crates of finished product ready for storage, picking and packing & distribution
• Accurately pick, palletise, label, and dispatch customer orders, ensuring timely truck loading/unloading in line with safety and production requirements.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently, adhering to all site safety protocols.
• Maintain stock integrity through correct receiving, storage, recording, and issuing of goods in saleable condition.
• Ensure all orders and receipts are supported by accurate documentation and report any operational disruptions promptly.
• Uphold housekeeping and hygiene standards across work areas.
• Support team development by assisting in training new staff and performing other duties aligned with the role’s scope.

To be considered for this position the following will be advantageous

• Physically fit with ability to frequently lift/move/stack crates onto pallets at end of production line (full pre-employment medical mandatory)
• A current Forklift licence (essential)
• Current and/or previous Warehouse Operator experience.
• Computer literacy including experience using Microsoft Office and computer based maintenance systems.
