Job summary

Ingenia Communities Group is seeking a Casual Cook for The Beach House Restaurant & Bar site. You will deliver exceptional front-of-house service, assist in food preparation, and help maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

You’ll work in a relaxed beachfront dining setting, with flexible hours and staff discounts as part of Ingenia’s team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• RSA/RCG accreditation (if applicable)
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
• Physical ability for frequent lifting, standing, and operating kitchen equipment

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service: create a positive front-of-house atmosphere and handle guest feedback professionally.
• Maintain standards & compliance: follow safety, RSA/RCG regulations, and food quality standards at all times.
• Manage stock & minimize waste: check produce, reduce wastage, and optimise usage.
• Cleaning & sanitation: keep kitchen, dining areas, equipment, and surfaces clean and hygienic.
• Chemical safety: handle chemicals safely, follow MSDS guidelines, and wear appropriate PPE.

We’re on the lookout for a Casual Cook to join our team at our The Beach House Restaurant & Bar site.

Reporting to the Venue Manager, you’ll play a key role in helping us deliver exceptional experiences for our guests and residents and having fun while doing it!

The Beach House Restaurant & Bar offers a relaxed beachfront dining experience, with great food, refreshing drinks, and stunning coastal views.

In this Role, You’ll

• Deliver Exceptional Service: Create a positive front-of-house atmosphere, ensure an excellent customer experience, and handle complaints professionally.
• Maintain Standards & Compliance: Follow safety, security, and RSA/RCG regulations; uphold food quality and presentation standards at all times.
• Manage Stock & Minimize Waste: Check and accept produce, reduce wastage, and ensure all items are used to their full potential.
• Cleaning & Sanitation: Keep the shop, kitchen, and dining areas clean and hygienic, including equipment, tables, and floors.
• Chemical Safety: Handle approved chemicals safely, follow MSDS guidelines, and use correct PPE for all cleaning tasks.

• Physical Capability: You’re comfortable with frequent lifting, standing, and operating kitchen/bar equipment, while using PPE and following safety procedures.
