Job summary

Next Gen Health & Lifestyle Clubs in Ryde is seeking a casual Cook / Chef to join our team. You will work closely with the Food & Beverage Team to deliver quality food while maintaining kitchen standards.

The role operates on a 7-day flexible roster with weekend work; hours are allocated with you, and there is potential for growth and development across Australia and New Zealand. Desirable to have Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery; passion for food, teamwork, ability to multi-task, and HACCP

Qualifications

• Desirable: Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery.
• Experience is valued, a positive attitude helps.
• Be enthusiastic and passionate about food.
• You are a team player in a hands-on environment.
• Restaurant and banquet food preparation experience or willingness to learn.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain kitchen protocols such as HACCP.
• Proven ability to collaborate within a team.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Food & Beverage Team to uphold food hygiene and health & safety standards.
• Operate on a 7-day flexible roster; hours allocated in discussion with you.
• Be prepared to work one weekend day and 2–3 weekdays.
• Contribute to growth and development opportunities as they arise.

About the Role

You will work closely with the Food & Beverage Team and play your part in ensuring that food hygiene and health and safety compliance is maintained at all times.

The role requires you to work across a 7-day, flexible roster. Key points to note:

• Your hours will be allocated in collaboration with you.
• You will be required to work one day of the weekend, and 2-3 days during the week.
• We will support your growth and development and hours may increase for the right candidate.
• You will become a valued team member and treated accordingly.
• Your input and ideas will be heard.

About You

• It would be desirable, but not essential for you to hold a Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery
• Experience is great - a positive attitude is even better!
• You will be enthusiastic and passionate about all things food
• You are a team player and enjoy working in a hands on environment
• Restaurant and banquet food preparation or willingness to learn
• Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to maintain kitchen protocols such as HACCP
• Proven track record of collaborating within a team environment
