InterContinental Hotels Group operates Julio's Italian Restaurant in Holiday Inn West Perth. We are seeking an experienced Cook to deliver high-quality dishes and contribute to memorable dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Commercial Cookery qualification preferred.
• Min 1 year experience in a commercial kitchen, hotel or restaurant environment.
• Great attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Working knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures.
• Passion for quality food and creating memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and presenting quality dishes in line with Julio's and IHG standards.
• Taking ownership of your workstation, ensuring supplies, stock levels, and equipment are well maintained.
• Maintaining exceptional hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards at all times.
• Assisting with food preparation and service across restaurant, room service, and banqueting operations.
• Supporting kitchen operations through stock rotation, waste minimisation, and organisation.
• Assisting with dishwashing and other kitchen duties when required.
• Working collaboratively with the wider kitchen and hotel team.
• Taking on additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support a successful service.

Your Day-to-Day

As a Cook, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality food experiences across Julio's Italian Restaurant, room service, and hotel functions.

Working as part of a supportive culinary team, you will take pride in preparing dishes to a consistently high standard while maintaining an organised, efficient, and safe kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and presenting quality dishes in line with Julio's and IHG standards
• Taking ownership of your workstation, ensuring supplies, stock levels, and equipment are well maintained
• Maintaining exceptional hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards at all times

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Cook who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering quality food and exceptional guest experiences.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Commercial Cookery qualification (preferred)
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within a commercial kitchen, hotel, or restaurant environment
• Great attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• A working knowledge and understanding of HACCP and food safety procedures
• A passion for quality food and creating memorable guest experiences

You will also:

• Be flexible to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays across a seven-day roster
• Have unrestricted Australian working rights with no limitations on hours
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to support your team wherever needed
