Job summary

Homestyle Aged Care group seeks a Cook to supervise a team of Food Service Assistants at Sea Views Manor, ensuring fresh, high-quality meals that meet dietary needs. You will maintain hygiene, safety, and nutrition while presenting meals attractively.

The role is a maximum term position for 4 months with a rotating fortnightly roster and an attractive hourly rate. Eligibility includes current police check and relevant food safety training.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cook in aged care.
• Current and valid police check.
• HLTFSE001 training (Follow basic food safety practices).
• HLTFSE005 training (Apply and monitor food safety requirements).
• HLTFSE007 training (Oversee day-to-day food safety).

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Food Service Assistants to prepare meals for residents.
• Ensure meals are fresh, high quality, and accommodate special dietary requirements.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and safe food handling practices.
• Ensure meals are nutritious and well presented.

Job description

Reporting to the Chef Manager at Sea Views Manor, supervise a team of Food Service Assistants to provide fresh, high-quality meals for residents including catering for special dietary requirements. You will ensure that the kitchen is clean, safe food handling practices are followed, and all meals are nutritious and well presented.

This is a maximum term position for 4 months, working the following fortnightly roster.

Week 1: Friday 9:30am-5:30pm, Saturday 9:30am-5:30pm & Sunday 9:30am-5:30pm.

Week 2: Friday 8:30am-4:30pm, Saturday 9:30am-5:30pm & Sunday 9:30am-5:30pm.
