Overview

The Meat & Wine Co restaurant forms part of a vibrant, passionate and dynamic national team. Established in 2000, The Meat & Wine Co prides itself in providing an exceptional and unique steakhouse dining experience. The restaurant has a unique atmosphere and ambience which is dedicated to our African heritage whilst still having reference to Australian surroundings. Our Adelaide restaurant celebrates and draws upon both Aboriginal and South African traditions.

We are looking for experienced and passionate Cooks who are committed to exceeding our customers' expectations whilst leading a professional and hardworking team. To be considered for this role you will need to possess the following:

Full-time contract salary: $70,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation per annum.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare all dishes to The Meat & Wine Co standards and recipes.
  • Strong understanding and appreciation of all aspects of food and its service.
  • Effective communication skills to maintain a secure and friendly working environment.
  • Impeccable presentation, hygiene and grooming standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all OHS legislation (act and regulation).
  • Ability to work over a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends, nights and public holidays on a full-time contract.
Qualifications
  • 1+ year of proven kitchen experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • A minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery Qualification or at least 1-3 years of relevant employment experience.
