The Role

Fiddlers Green Retirement Village, located in Berwick, is currently seeking an enthusiastic, committed and reliable Cook on a Casual basis.

Reporting to the Village Manager, your duties will include:

You will be trained in and tasked with providing quality food service to our residents and assisting with the day-to-day kitchen operations & events of the village.

• Food preparation and cooking according to set menu for the day
• Working alone in the kitchen
• Cleaning and upkeep of work station to food safety standards
• Work with the Kitchen Assistant to serve meals to residents (approx. 50 servings for lunch and 25 servings for dinner per day)
• Work with Kitchen Assistant to clean up after dining service

Your Background

• Experience in a Café or Restaurant food operations.
• Have relevant cooking experience or a cert 4 in hospitality or commercial cookery
• Be able to multitask and work unsupervised.
• Have a strong customer-service focus
