Job summary

Carinity – Brookfield Green seeks a dedicated cook to support the provision of fresh meals for residents in a peaceful Brookfield setting. You will assist the Chef and team to prepare meals tailored to dietary needs and personal preferences, while maintaining a clean kitchen and complying with safety standards.

Availability Monday to Sunday is required. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a not-for-profit aged care provider with development opportunities and supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial food preparation.
• Knowledge of Food Safety and Workplace Health and Safety standards for Aged Care.

About the opportunity:
At Carinity – Brookfield Green, you’ll enjoy a peaceful setting inthe heart of Brookfield with nearby parklands and a warm,community-focused atmosphere. In this position you will beassisting in the provision of high-quality fresh meals to theresidents of the facility, in support of maintaining their qualityof life.

This role requires availability Monday to Sunday.

Your day-to-day will involve:

• Assist the Chef and other staff in the preparation ofhigh-quality, fresh meals that meet residents’ dietaryrequirements and personal preferences
• Provide assistance to Support Services staff in mealservice to residents
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and always adhere to food safetyand hygiene standards

About you:

• Experience in commercial food preparation
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Knowledge of Food Safety and Workplace Health and Safetystandards relevant to Aged Care
• A compassionate, resident-focused approach
• Previous experience in Aged Care industry is desirable
