Job summary

Hall & Prior Health & Aged Care Group is hiring for a Cook/Kitchen Supervisor at our 95-bed Fairfield home in NSW. You will oversee daily kitchen operations, prepare and present nutritious meals, and lead a team of Cooks and Kitchen Hands in a casual role Monday–Friday 9am–5pm.

We value food safety, customer service and meeting budget targets. You’ll work in a supportive team, with ongoing training and opportunities to advance within our growing aged care network.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Cook or Chef in residential aged care.
• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or higher) required.
• Excellent understanding of food safety and legislation.
• Organised, able to work in a busy kitchen with deadlines.
• NDIS Worker Screening and influenza vaccination (or willingness).

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operations at the Fairfield home.
• Prepare, cook and present appetising meals.
• Lead and mentor a team of Cooks and Kitchen Hands.
• Manage ordering, stock control and budget-minded efficiency.
• Encourage feedback for continuous improvements.

• Casual role with Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm shifts currently available

The recipe for success

• Proven track record as a Cook or Chef in residential aged care, with a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or higher)
• Currently available to work Monday – Friday from 9am to 5pm
• Excellent understanding of food safety and proven ability meeting governing legislation
• Organised, able to work in a busy kitchen and meet deadlines, and strong customer service skills
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and influenza vaccination (or willing to obtain) and unlimited working rights in Australia
