Job summary
Mineral Resources Limited is seeking Belt Technicians to join the Field Services Maintenance Team across Western Australia. This full-time role follows a dynamic 2:1 roster (Shutdowns) with on-site training and leadership development opportunities.
Travel to multiple owner-operated and client sites will be required for scheduled shutdowns, breakdowns, and backfill roles. Responsibilities include conveyor belt inspections, mechanical splicing, and supporting preventative and fixed plant
Qualifications
- Experience with belt splicing and fabric belts.
- Commitment to safety and safe working practices.
- Current Australian Driver's License is required.
- Desirable: Confined Space with Gas Testing and Working at Heights.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and maintenance on conveyor belt systems, including belts, rollers, frames, skirts, and pulleys.
- Perform hot and cold splicing of fabric belts using vulcanizing presses and belt-handling equipment.
- Carry out spot vulcanizing repairs and mechanical splicing
- Support shutdowns, emergent maintenance, and breakdown repairs.
- Assist with planned preventative maintenance and fixed plant maintenance
