Job summary

Hancock Iron Ore is seeking an Engineer – Control Systems for a 7 on, 7 off days and nights roster based at the West Perth Office. You will restore service during plant interruptions and deliver improvements to support safe production and reliability.

Reporting to the Superintendent Control Systems, you will diagnose faults, maintain system integrity, and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, IT/OT and project teams to implement robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent control-systems qualification or trade with training.
• Operational experience with industrial control systems and fault-finding under pressure.
• Mining industry experience or exposure to fixed-plant/bulk materials handling is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-response and advanced technical support for PLC/SCADA/industrial networks across Mine/Port/Dewatering operations.
• Serve as primary escalation point for control-system issues, diagnose faults and minimise production impact.
• Maintain control-system integrity, security, backups, alarms, and technical documentation.
