Job summary

Glencore is seeking an Automation Engineer for the Ulan Underground Mine in NSW. You will lead the automation and communication systems, ensuring reliability and coordinating with the engineering team.

The role requires SCADA and Rockwell Automation experience, with a focus on safety, productivity, and continuous improvement across a mining site.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification and/or tertiary Engineering qualification.
• In-depth knowledge of SCADA systems and Rockwell Automation software.
• Knowledge of IT networking and system administration desirable.

Ulan Underground is an established, efficient and high production underground longwall coal mining operation in the western coalfields of NSW. With state-of-the-art mining equipment and the latest technologies, we are leading exporters in thermal coal.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate has the following skills and experiences:

• An electrical trade qualification and/or tertiary Engineering qualification
• In-depth knowledge of SCADA systems and Rockwell Automation software
• Knowledge and experience in IT networking and system administration would be desirable.
