Job summary

South32 Group Operations Pty. Ltd. in Western Australia seeks a Control Room Specialist to safely operate and control refinery processes, delivering production in line with procedures and standards.

This is a permanent role with a 42-hour week on a day/night continuous roster. You will ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie, with no on-site accommodation. The role involves monitoring, optimizing production, and coordinating with maintenance and other teams to support safe, efficient

Qualifications

• Operating, monitoring or supporting complex industrial processing systems.
• Analysing process information and interpreting operational data.
• Identifying faults, investigating issues and developing practical solutions.
• Applying sound judgement in high-pressure situations.
• Communicating clearly across operational and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor control parameters and identify emerging issues.
• Optimize production, minimise cost and ensure product quality.
• Manage equipment shutdown and startup, direct operational priorities.
• Provide clear handovers and collaborate with production, maintenance and other teams.
