Job summary

Hancock Energy, a Western Australia–based onshore energy focus, seeks a Contracts Specialist to drive contracting strategies and procurement excellence. You will collaborate with technical teams, lead tender processes and manage contract administration across oil and gas projects in WA.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in contracts/procurement, strong negotiation, supplier management, and superb interpersonal skills, with office-based work in West Perth.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience in Contracts and Procurement.
• Experience developing contract and procurement processes.
• Experience scoping the development, supplier qualification, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, commercial drafting, contract finalisation, award and administration.
• Good supplier management and negotiation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with cross-functional teams.

Hancock Energy has a full-time opportunity for a Contracts Specialist to join a growing team supporting onshore oil and gas projects throughout Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement contracting strategies aligned with company principles and market intelligence.
• Collaborate with technical teams to develop scopes and minimise commercial risks.
• Negotiate, finalise and prepare contracts for execution
• Lead tender development, bid evaluation and supplier selection.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• At least 5 years’ experience in Contracts and Procurement
• Proven experience developing Contract and Procurement processes.
• Experience in scoping the development, supplier qualification, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, commercial drafting, contract finalisation, award and administration
• Good supplier management and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and communication skills
