Job summary

ABB seeks a mid-level Contract and Risk Manager to join the Electrification Distribution Solutions (ELDS) team in Australia. You will oversee contract reviews, drafting, negotiation and administration, while identifying and mitigating risks across complex deals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Law, Engineering, or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in contract negotiations and management, preferably in engineering or technology.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of contract law and commercial terms.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in contract red-lining, Microsoft Office Suite and Excel and AI tools.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Certifications: CPCM, CFCM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contract reviewing, drafting and negotiation: support ELDS complex deals and transactions by preparing, reviewing and responding to contract terms and conditions, tenders and RFQs.
• Risk Management: identify and mitigate contractual risks, ensuring compliance with ABB policy requirements.
• Contract Administration: manage lifecycle of contracts from initiation to closure, including amendments, renewals, and terminations.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: work with Front End Sales Team and internal sales, marketing, finance and tendering teams to ensure alignment and execution.
• Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities for process improvements in contract management practices.
