Job summary

NES Fircroft is partnering with a leading organisation in the mining and resources sector to recruit experienced Contracts and Procurement professionals for 12-month day-rate contracts in Brisbane.

You will cover end-to-end procurement, tendering and contract administration, working with project teams, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver strong commercial outcomes. Day rates vary with experience and scope of role.

Qualifications

• Experience in contracts, procurement, sourcing or commercial management.
• Exposure to both pre-award and post-award contract activities.
• Strong tendering, negotiation and contract administration skills.
• Experience managing supplier and subcontractor relationships.
• Understanding of commercial risk, contractual terms and procurement governance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and deliver commercial outcomes.
• Experience within mining, resources, infrastructure, energy or other project-based environments.

• Develop sourcing strategies, tenderer lists and RFQ documentation.
• Lead tender processes, evaluate submissions and prepare commercial recommendations.
• Negotiate contractual terms, conditions and commercial agreements.

• Oversee post-award contract administration, including variations, claims and performance management.
• Monitor supplier and contractor performance against contractual obligations.
• Identify and manage commercial risks, opportunities and contractual departures.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Support project teams with procurement planning, commercial advice and contract management.

NES Fircroft is partnering with a leading organisation within the mining and resources sector to recruit experienced Contracts and Procurement professionals to support a range of ongoing project and operational requirements.

We are interested in speaking with commercially minded professionals with experience across pre-award procurement, tendering and sourcing, through to post-award contract administration and end-to-end commercial management. Working closely with project teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in developing procurement strategies, managing contractual obligations and delivering strong commercial outcomes.

These are 12-month day-rate contract opportunities based in Brisbane, with a high likelihood of extension. Day rates will vary depending on experience and the scope of each role.

Key Responsibilities
