Job summary

Barpa Pty Ltd, a majority Indigenous-owned commercial construction company, is seeking a Contracts Administrator in Melbourne to drive procurement, contract administration and cost control across VIC projects.

Based in Melbourne, you will collaborate with Project Managers to ensure procurement aligns with contract, financial and programme requirements while supporting the delivery of technically complex facilities.

Qualifications

• Degree required in Construction Management or similar discipline
• 3–7 years' experience in commercial construction (builder-side preferred)
• Experience in subcontract procurement and contract administration
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes
• Ability to manage multiple trade packages and deadlines

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontract procurement from tender through to contract execution
• Prepare tender documentation, evaluate submissions and support trade letting
• Administer subcontract agreements, variations and payment processes
• Support head contract administration including notices, EOTs and variations
• Assist with cost reporting, forecasting and commercial performance tracking
• Monitor subcontractor performance against budget, programme and scope
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of procurement and commercial outcomes
• Maintain accurate records, documentation and contract compliance
• Support project delivery through strong stakeholder coordination and communication
