Job summary

Downer is seeking a driven Contracts Administrator to support our Queensland Maintenance & ITS business from Brisbane Airport. You will own end-to-end contract administration, from pre-contract activities through to successful project outcomes, working with delivery leaders to drive commercial excellence.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in contract administration, strong knowledge of contract terms, and a track record of managing post-contract deliverables, with excellent negotiation and

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Contract Administrator or similar role.
• Strong understanding of contract terms and conditions with legal awareness.
• Experience managing post-contract deliverables and close-out.
• Experience in construction programming and scheduling.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Well-developed analytical, planning and prioritisation abilities.
• Proven ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborative approach and clear communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement strategy development and RFQ processes with suppliers/subcontractors.
• Prepare and manage contract documentation, variations, EOTs and claims.
• Contribute to handovers, develop commercial management plans and provide advice.
• Identify risks/claims and work with legal/commercial teams on resolutions.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and delivery teams.
