Job summary

Alcoa is seeking experienced All Round Mining Operators to join our Western Australia operations. You will operate multiple heavy mobile machines and contribute to safe, efficient mining within Development and Rehabilitation teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate across multiple heavy mobile equipment as part of our All Round Mining Operator role.
• Contribute to safe, efficient and reliable mining operations within Development and Rehabilitation teams.
• Support roster patterns (7/7 or 4 days on 5 days off) to balance life and work.
• Engage in ongoing training and development and uphold a culture of operational excellence.

As an All Round Mining Operator, you’ll use your skills across a variety of heavy mobile equipment, contributing to safe, efficient and reliable mining operations within our Development and Rehabilitation teams. Opportunities are available on either a 7:7 roster or a 4 days on 5 days off roster (combination of days and nights), supporting a balanced and rewarding lifestyle.

Applicants must be proficient in operating 2 or more of the below machinery:

• Komatsu PC3400 & PC2000 Large Excavator
• CAT 993 Loader
• D10 & D11 Dozer
• Komatsu 375 & 475 Dozer
• CAT 16 & 18 Grader
• CAT 637 Scraper
• Komatsu 730E Trucks & CAT 785, 789 Trucks

About the Location

Huntly is one of our two bauxite mines in Western Australia. Established in 1976 and located east of North Dandalup in WA, it is the world’s second largest bauxite mine, supplying ore to Alcoa’s Pinjarra alumina refinery.
