Job summary

Psyc Spot Mascot (NSW) seeks 1–2 independent contractors to join our team, available ASAP or by early 2027. Our seven-year-old practice supports high-functioning adults with diverse presentations in a supportive, growth‑oriented setting.

You will provide clinical psychology services with supervision from experienced supervisors, using an efficient system, and maintaining a sustainable workload (~5 clients/day). Requires AHPRA, Medicare Provider Number eligibility, ABN, and appropriate insurance.

Qualifications

• Master or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology required.
• AHPRA registration and ability to apply for Medicare Provider Number.
• ABN for independent contractor work.
• Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
• Ability to work autonomously and flexibly.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychology services as an independent contractor.
• Maintain high professional ethics and ongoing professional development.
• Manage a caseload of around 5 clients per day.
• Participate in in-house supervision for Registrars.

Psyc Spot Mascot (NSW) is looking for 1-2 independant contractors to join us, either this year (as soon as practicable) or even early 2027.

Our practice started almost 7 years ago and have gradually built a strong reputation and solid referral ties. Our client base is mostly made up of high functioning adults whose struggles can nonetheless be extremely severe and/or idiosyncratic. However, we also have a sizeable portion of clients who have lived rougher lives and otherwise struggle to adapt in this society. Existing team members will tell you that they have a diversified and stimulating caseload.

You Will Need

Desirable Qualities

• Interest in relational, insight-oriented, emotion-focused, and other humanistic/existential therapies.
• Some experience with or interest in complex presentations (eg, personality disorders, dissociative conditions, psychotic disorders).
• Has or willing to have registration with SIRA to see WorkCover and CTP clients.
• Experience in or willingness to see NDIS self-managed clients.
