Founded in 2002, Maas employs over 2,000 people and operates a fleet of 550+ machines. We deliver quality buildings and infrastructure across regional Australia with in-house capability across materials, plant, and support services.

Your role

We are seeking a motivated Contract Administrator to manage the day-to-day commercial administration of subcontract packages on major construction projects.

This core role supports the Senior Contract Administrator in managing subcontract letting, variations, and monthly cost reporting across assigned trade packages. You will contribute directly to the commercial performance of the project by ensuring accurate cost tracking, claims management, and subcontract administration.

What you'll do

  • Manage the letting of subcontract and supply packages, including scope preparation, enquiry, tender analysis, and award.
  • Administer subcontracts throughout the project lifecycle, including progress claims, variations, and practical completion in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Maintain accurate registers for subcontract packages, purchase orders, and contractual correspondence.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and Site Managers to ensure subcontract scope is accurately defined and managed on site.
  • Prepare monthly EOM cost reports for assigned packages, including budget vs cost tracking and financial forecasting.
  • Manage monthly subcontractor payment assessments and escalate disputed amounts to the Senior Contract Administrator.
  • Maintain cost codes, budget uploads, and financial data integrity within the project management system.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years' experience in contract administration within the building construction industry.
  • Working knowledge of construction contract forms and subcontract administration processes.
  • Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction management platforms.
  • Willingness to work on project sites as required.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and documentation skills.
  • Commercially aware with the ability to identify and escalate issues early.
  • Collaborative and communicative with site, engineering, and commercial teams.
  • Proactive and collaborative team member who is confident in managing subcontractor correspondence and contractual deliverables and communicating with the wider team.
  • Professional and disciplined in meeting contractual and reporting deadlines.
  • Join a growing ASX-listed company and make a real impact.
  • Access to career development and training across Maas and the broader Group.
  • The stability of a large integrated group with the agility of a project-focused team.
  • Employee Benefits Platform with retail, healthcare, gym, and novated leasing discounts.
  • Monthly Values Awards and recognition in our newsletter.
  • A comprehensive health and wellbeing program.

If you're detail-oriented, commercially aware, and eager to develop your contract administration skills on major construction projects, we'd like to hear from you.
