Job summary

CMTP, a proudly Australian, family-owned manufacturing business, seeks a Continuous Improvement Lead to drive safety, quality and productivity improvements on site in Colac. You will collaborate with frontline teams to understand workflows, remove roadblocks and make practical improvements stick, building capability across the team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, process improvement or manufacturing operations.
• Lean Six Sigma or similar CI training/qualifications highly regarded.
• Genuine interest in growing your career in production or operations leadership.
• Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Practical, approachable and hands-on style, confident working with frontline teams.

Continuous Improvement Lead - Manufacturing

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead local improvement initiatives that make your branch safer, more efficient and more consistent, while helping the team build capability and deliver operational excellence.

This role suits someone who enjoys being hands-on, working with frontline teams, removing roadblocks and making practical improvements stick.

What you'll do

• Lead improvements that strengthen safety, quality, productivity and consistency.
• Work with the local production team to understand workflows, equipment, layout and challenges.
• Reduce waste, downtime and rework through practical process improvements.
• Coach teams to identify, trial and sustain better ways of working.
• Turn team ideas into practical improvement actions.

What you'll bring

• At least 2 years' experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, process improvement or manufacturing operations.
• Lean, Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement training or qualifications will be highly regarded.
• A genuine interest in growing your career in production or operations leadership.
• Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A practical, approachable and hands-on style, with confidence working alongside frontline teams.
