Job summary

Sitehost is seeking a hands-on Contentful Developer to back an enterprise-scale digital transformation. This fixed-term contract role designs, implements and supports a scalable Contentful CMS across teams, collaborating with developers, designers and content specialists to deliver a modern digital platform.

Fully remote with Australian AEST hours, you’ll handle content modelling, API integrations (CMA, CDA, GraphQL), migrations and governance, and contribute to ongoing architecture decisions.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of commercial experience with Contentful or a similar headless CMS.
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks.
• Hands-on with Contentful CMA, CDA and GraphQL APIs.
• Understanding of content modelling, scalability and reusability.
• API-first and headless architecture principles.
• Experience in production environments with enterprise-scale apps.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Contentful content models, spaces and environments.
• Build and maintain integrations between Contentful and frontend frameworks.
• Develop custom scripts for content type creation, migration and automation.
• Work with REST, GraphQL and Contentful APIs.
• Collaborate with content strategists, designers and engineers on scalable content structures.
• Optimise content delivery and manage localisation and multi-region configurations.
• Support migration of legacy content into Contentful.
• Establish best practices around content governance, webhooks and CI/CD.
• Contribute to ongoing architecture and technical direction of the headless CMS.
