Job summary

ACIL Allen seeks driven Consultants and Senior Consultants to join our economics practice in Sydney. You will own client problems and opportunities, develop methodologies, collect and interpret data, and manage client relationships and project delivery.

You will work across the full lifecycle of engagements, growing advisory capabilities and mentoring junior staff while contributing to public policy thought leadership. A quantitative economics degree and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in economics and/or public policy within a consulting, government, private sector, or advisory context.
• Tertiary qualification in a quantitative or economics-based discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Economics/Econometrics, Statistics, or Finance).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with expertise in other analytical tools, is desirable.

About you

• be a skilled and experienced economist with a passion for delivering high-quality public policy advice to government and industry
• be motivated to contribute to the growth and success of our Sydney economics practice, supporting senior colleagues and leading by example
• possess strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to work with economic, financial or other data to generate unique and actionable insights
• have the capability to communicate the insights clearly and persuasively, both in written reports and in dialogue with current and prospective clients and stakeholders
• thrive working both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• have the ability to work effectively across different industry sectors and parts of our advisory practice
• inspire and mentor junior consultants, contributing to their growth and development.

About your qualifications and skills

• 3+ years’ experiencein economics and/or public policy within a consulting, government, private sector, or advisory context. The salary and role title will be assessed and agreed upon depending on experience and skills
• Tertiary qualification in aquantitative or economics-based discipline( such as Mathematics, Economics/Econometrics, Statistics, or Finance)
