Job summary

ACIL Allen in Sydney seeks driven Consultants and Senior Consultants to join its economics practice. You will own client problems, help shape analyses, and contribute to thought leadership across engagements.

From day one you’ll work across methodologies, data interpretation, client relationships and report writing, with growth opportunities in a respected independent economics advisory firm.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in economics/public policy within a consulting, government, private sector, or advisory context.
  • Tertiary qualification in a quantitative or economics-based discipline (such as Mathematics, Economics/Econometrics, Statistics, or Finance).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; other analytical tools are desirable.

  • Collecting, analysing and interpreting information.
  • Managing client relationships and overseeing project delivery.

As aConsultantorSenior Consultant, you will work across the full breadth of ACIL Allen’s advisory portfolio, including:

  • developing methodologies and proposals
  • collecting, analysing and interpreting information
  • managing client relationships and overseeing project delivery
  • contributing to thought leadership in economics and public policy
  • conducting research, writing reports, and engaging with stakeholders.

At ACIL Allen, consultants are involved in the full lifecycle of client engagement, from scoping work and developing methodologies through to presenting final reports and advice. About you

To be considered for this position, you must:

  • be a skilled and experienced economist with a passion for delivering high-quality public policy advice to government and industry
  • be motivated to contribute to the growth and success of our Sydney economics practice, supporting senior colleagues and leading by example
  • possess strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to work with economic, financial or other data to generate unique and actionable insights
  • have the capability to communicate the insights clearly and persuasively, both in written reports and in dialogue with current and prospective clients and stakeholders
  • thrive working both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • have the ability to work effectively across different industry sectors and parts of our advisory practice
  • inspire and mentor junior consultants, contributing to their growth and development.
About your qualifications and skills
  • 3+ years’ experiencein economics and/or public policy within a consulting, government, private sector, or advisory context. The salary and role title will be assessed and agreed upon depending on experience and skills
  • Tertiary qualification in aquantitative or economics-based discipline( such as Mathematics, Economics/Econometrics, Statistics, or Finance)
  • Advanced proficiency inMicrosoft Excel, with expertise in other analytical tools, is desirable.
