Marsh invites a Consultant to join its Climate & Sustainability Risk Consulting team. Based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, this hybrid role requires three days in the office weekly.

You will support consulting projects, analyse data, and translate findings into client-focused strategies across physical, transition, and decarbonisation initiatives. The role sits within Marsh Risk Consulting’s Asia Pacific practice, offering opportunity to work across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific

Qualifications

• Three to five years of sustainability or climate analytics experience.
• Experience with disclosure standards such as IFRS/ISSB, ISO14001, GHG Protocol, SBTi and TCFD.
• Ability to translate data into strategic client insights.
• Experience in consulting or in-house practice is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of consulting projects with data analysis and qualitative research.
• Translate analysis into strategic implications for clients across their climate and sustainability journey.
• Manage the delivery of smaller engagements end to end.
• Produce high-quality outputs, including reports, numerical insights and presentations.
• Contribute to proposal development.
• Research emerging climate and sustainability trends and understand their implications for clients.
• Provide practical advice on project approaches, methodologies and tools for client programmes.

Consultant - Risk Consulting

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Climate & Sustainability Risk consulting team at Marsh Risk Consulting. This role will be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This role sits within Marsh’s growing Climate & Sustainability practice in the Asia Pacific region and supports client work across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. You will help deliver impactful consulting projects across physical risk and resilience, transition risk and decarbonisation, and sustainability.

We will count on you to:

• Support the delivery of consulting projects, including data analysis and qualitative research


• Translate analysis into clear strategic implications for clients across their climate and sustainability journey


• Manage the delivery of smaller engagements end to end


• Produce high-quality outputs, including reports, numerical insights and presentations


• Contribute to proposal development


• Research emerging climate and sustainability trends and understand their implications for clients


• Provide practical advice to clients on project approaches, methodology and tools to support sustainability programmes and initiatives

What you need to have:

• A degree in business, environmental science, management, policy, engineering or another relevant field


• Three to five years of relevant experience in sustainability, climate change or catastrophe analytics, either in consulting or in‑house


• Experience with relevant disclosure standards and frameworks such as ASRS, IFRS/ISSB, ISO14001, GHG Protocol, SBTi and TCFD


• The ability to work with data and communicate findings clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences

• Experience in natural catastrophe modelling and the insurance industry
