Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to provide leadership and clinical expertise in Melbourne’s MMH&WS 54-bed adult acute psychiatric inpatient unit. You will join a team of six consultant psychiatrists and contribute to a robust registrar training program.

The role supports registrar training, multidisciplinary care, and service innovation, with a flexible permanent EFT and leave-cover arrangement tailored to your availability.

Qualifications

• Registration with AHPRA is required.
• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or pursuing it.
• Strong experience managing psychosis, depression, anxiety, PTSD and risk issues.
• Excellent communication, time management, and problem‑solving skills.
• Compassionate, flexible, and collaborative approach to patient care.

We’re seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to provide leadership and clinical expertise in our 54-bed adult acute psychiatric inpatient unit at the Clare Moore Building. You’ll be joining a dynamic team of six consultant psychiatrists, an expanding JMO workforce, and a robust registrar training program, making this role both rewarding and well supported.
