Job summary

Telstra Australia is seeking a Constructor Repairer on a 12-month secondment. The role involves faultless end-to-end construction of optical fibre cables and provisioning of the customer access network, with a fixed roster of 19 days on and 9 nights off, including travel during work time.

You will operate heavy plant (dozers, excavators, backhoes), perform routine maintenance, and install/restore infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Heavy plant operating experience with construction equipment.
  • Truck licence HR-C (combination) is essential.
  • Willingness to travel and work on a roaster.

Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end construction of optical fibre cable and related network infrastructure.
  • Plan and undertake planned activities for infrastructure maintenance and upgrades within timelines.
  • Work in a team to deliver quality service and maintain network integrity.
  • HSE responsibility: follow safety policies and procedures.
