Project Overview:

Bechtel has been engaged to provide EPCM services to replace existing Balanced Machines at facilities in the Pilbara region in Western Australia. The Project includes the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of the new balanced machines as well as design and construction of associated off-board scope, including earthworks, structural works and electrical upgrades to support the installation and operation.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will manage the organization and direction of project construction activities and oversee total sitemanagement including supervision of construction craft personnel, field engineering, contract administration, costand schedule, field procurement, and finance and accounting.

Your leadership will ensure project operations arecompliant, safe, timely, within scope and budget, and clients are satisfied.

You will oversee the construction process, review plans and specifications for costs and constructability, manage corporate processes and procedures, and lead proposal preparation. Your recommendations for studies, lessonslearned, project assessments, and new methods will optimize completion of project construction activities.

Major Responsibilities:

Construction Manager

Leadership/Supervision

• Manages the organization and direction of construction and related activities of a single construction project, including actions of Bechtel, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and their representatives.
• Acts as primary client contact for all project field activities.
• Oversees total site management including supervision of construction craft personnel, field engineering, contract administration, cost and schedule, field procurement, finance and accounting services, and craft resource personnel as applicable.
• Maintains client relationship and is the primary contact for client's communication with the field activities and effective relation with other functional departments.
• Coordinates all project contractual activities. and participates in the development of contract, subcontract, or vendor scopes of work, budgets, contract formation, and negotiations

Planning

• Oversees jobsite expenditures for labor equipment, material and services and ensures field operations are within the budget.
• Establishes project field procedures and objectives within corporate policies and procedures as necessitated by conditions at a jobsite.
• Develops, implements, and administers a jobsite security plan and coordinates the activities with corporate security department.

Safety & Quality

• Ensures development and execution of Project Automation Plan, Environmental Compliance Plan, safety plan, site survey plan, non-manual staffing plan, subcontracting plan, labor strategy, Construction Execution Plan, and job-site work rules.
• Plans and establishes procedures to ensure construction operations meet engineering designs and specifications.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or17-19 years of relevant work experience.
• Site leadership role in the Western Australia region on large scale Mining, Oil and Gas or Industrial projects leading multidisciplinary/functional teams (Owner, EPC or Sub-Contractor).

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Thorough knowledge of all phases of construction operations relating to construction pre-planning, mobilisation requirements, field activities, field engineering disciplines, construction technologies and project management.
• Extensive experience in Balanace Machines.
• Extensive understanding of state and government compliance standards.
• Certified Site Safety Executive (SSE) under the Western Australian Mining Safety Act, or ability to become certifed in 3-6 months.
• Familiarity with Western Asutralian Mining regulations and Standards as they relate to construction.
• Knowledge of Construction Automation tools for Completions, Quality and Advanced Work Packaging (AWP).
• Thorough knowledge of Construction Work Processes.
• Knowledge of the Six Sigma and lean construction methodology Recognition as a leader in the industry with a proven track record of successful management of construction projects.
• A recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, construction management and/or extensiveactual work experience leading to the thorough understanding of the knowledge described above.
• Leads the site team in all aspects of day-to-day construction site execution per Bechtel's scope of works
• Ensure adherence to Bechtel's corporate ES&H, Quality standards and Standard Construction procedures.
• Ensures compliance to the applicable national and state requirements for Mining.
• Main point of contact for the Customer and Regulator on the Bechtel project site
• Ensure project schedule and cost reporting is accurate and provide appropriate mitigations as required.
• Ensure technical issues that arise during the construction process are highlighted early and solutions agreed in a timely manner.
• Ability to build a high performing team from the ground up setting clear expectations, goals and targets.
• Have a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make informed decisions based on technical knowledge and experience
