A global engineering firm is seeking a Project Manager in Perth to lead a team in monitoring contractor planning and safety. The role requires extensive project management experience and the ability to engage collaboratively with diverse teams. You will ensure compliance with project policies and deliver regular reports on construction progress. This is a key leadership position with significant responsibilities in a vibrant and diverse working environment.
In this role, you will report to the Project Director – Airport Central Hotel where you will lead a team that monitors contractor planning, safety, quality, construction, and workplace relations.
You will be responsible for monitoring that the contractor is compliant with project policies, procedures, site rules and procedures, and is performing within specifications and schedules.
The hiring process for this position involves customer approval.
Leadership / Supervision
Engage proactively with the airport central hotel construction teams’ development through
competency development/assessment and feedback.
Monitor that processes and procedures are fully developed and implemented.
Planning / Productivity
Review ongoing staffing requirements for effective service delivery.
Prepare and present reports and forecasts, including summaries of construction progress and expenditure forecasts.
Safety & Quality
Monitor that project teams are implementing and enforcing policies, procedures and related work rules as established by project management.
Actively monitor contractor compliance with safety requirements and encourage contractors to perform in a safe manner.
Monitor work activities and the quality of work performed by the contractor.
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience.
