Job summary

Leader Earthworks is seeking a Construction Manager to lead delivery across civil and mining projects in NSW and SE Queensland. You will shape project execution, mentor PMs and engineers, and drive safety, quality, schedule and commercial outcomes.

You will work with a General Manager to elevate operations as the business expands into larger, more complex work, building teams and strengthening capabilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering civil construction projects within Australia.
• Previous experience as a Construction Manager, Project Manager or similar leadership role.
• Exposure to civil infrastructure, roads, mining infrastructure, bulk earthworks or large scale earthworks.
• Strong commercial understanding and the ability to oversee multiple projects.
• A proven ability to lead teams, develop people and drive performance.

Leader is a self performing civil and mining contractor delivering earthworks and infrastructure projects across New South Wales and South East Queensland. The business delivers road infrastructure, earthworks, mining works, subdivisions, industrial sites and detailed excavation. They’ve built strong relationships with government, Tier One contractors, developers and private clients, backed by a skilled workforce and a fleet of more than 100 pieces of plant.
Leader started in 2014 and has grown into a contractor known for quality and delivery. They’ve invested heavily in people and plant and lifted the way projects are delivered across the business. The business is expanding its civil and mining capability and taking on more complex work. They’re looking for a Construction Manager who can set the standard, build the team and drive stronger delivery across the civil and mining portfolio.
The OpportunityReporting to the General Manager, you’ll take ownership of project delivery and lift the performance of the construction side of the business. You’ll have real influence across people, delivery, systems and how the business moves into larger civil and mining work.
You’ll work closely with senior management to sharpen how projects are delivered and develop the team. As Leader continues to grow, this role gives you the chance to shape how the organisation operates.
