Role Description The Construction Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Alstonville, NSW, with some flexibility for work from home. This role oversees day-to-day site operations, including planning, coordinating, and supervising construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The Construction Manager collaborates with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients, manages project schedules and resources, and monitors quality and compliance with building standards and regulations. Responsibilities include implementing construction safety procedures, tracking progress against project milestones, resolving site issues, and preparing regular reports on costs, risks, and overall project performance. The role also supports continuous improvement in construction methods and contributes to the successful delivery of modular, residential, commercial, and remote accommodation projects.

Qualifications

• Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, delegation, and performance management on construction sites.
• Experience with project control and budgeting, including cost estimation, financial tracking, and reporting.
• In-depth knowledge of construction practices and methods, ideally across modular, residential, and commercial projects.
• Sound understanding of construction safety standards, WHS regulations, and risk management on active sites.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in construction management, civil engineering, building, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or stages concurrently and adapt to regional and remote site conditions.
• Current driver’s license and eligibility to work in Australia; professional certifications in construction or safety are beneficial.
