Job summary

Trade Plus Recruitment is seeking a reliable Construction Labourer to join our modular installation site in Brisbane. You will assist with installation, positioning and finishing of modular buildings, work with skilled tradespeople and site supervisors to ensure work is done safely and to a high standard.

The role requires good physical fitness, familiarity with tools, ability to follow directions, and a commitment to workplace health and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous construction labouring experience preferred.
• Experience in modular construction, prefabricated buildings or site installation is an advantage.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation and assembly of modular buildings and structures.
• Load, unload and move building materials, tools and equipment around the site.
• Assist with positioning, levelling and securing modular units under direction of qualified personnel.
• Perform general construction labouring duties, including drilling, cutting, fastening and basic fit-out work as directed and within your competency.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe worksite.
• Follow site safety procedures, SWMS and instructions from supervisors.
• Assist tradespeople and installation crews with daily tasks.
• Use hand and power tools safely and appropriately.
• Identify and report hazards, damaged equipment or unsafe work practices.

Tickets and Requirements

• White Card (Construction Induction Card) required.
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport preferred.
• Relevant machinery, forklift, EWP or working-at-heights tickets are advantageous where applicable.
• Ability to pass any required site inductions and comply with PPE requirements.
