Lander & Rogers in Sydney, a leading insurance law and litigation practice, seeks a Lawyer, General Insurance (Construction).

Qualifications

• Hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practising certificate in New South Wales.
• Have 3+ years' PAE, with experience in construction, engineering and/or property insurance matters.
• Experience acting in subrogated recovery matters is advantageous, but not essential.
• Enjoy working directly with clients and building trusted professional relationships.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Take a proactive and collaborative approach to your work.
• Are a genuine team player who is professional, client-focused and committed to contributing to a positive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day conduct of commercial litigation matters with appropriate supervision and support.
• Draft correspondence, pleadings, submissions, affidavits and other court and tribunal documents.
• Appear at mediations, settlement conferences, tribunals and court hearings.
• Prepare clear, practical and commercially focused advice for clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
• Manage client reporting requirements and client portal obligations.
• Work closely with colleagues across the team on complex and interesting matters.
• Support and mentor junior lawyers, graduates and seasonal clerks.
