Job summary

SouthCut Plant and Civil is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team in Lang Lang, Victoria. The role involves safely operating heavy machinery, performing pre-operational checks, and coordinating with the crew to move and place materials on construction sites.

You will work hands-on, helping with grinding, drainage, concreting pits, and other ground duties when not in a machine. A strong safety mindset and reliable teamwork are essential for delivering high-quality results on

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Machine Operator in construction.
• Experience operating excavators, Posi Tracks, and bulldozers.
• Strong understanding of construction techniques, safety and environmental regulations.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making under on-site challenges.
• Reliable, team-oriented and committed to high-quality work.
• Valid driver’s licence and construction equipment operator’s certificate.
• HR License (Non-Synchro) HC is desirable.
• Hands-on approach when not in a machine.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy machinery to complete construction tasks.
• Perform pre-operational checks and basic maintenance on equipment.
• Coordinate with crew to move and place materials efficiently.
• Follow safety regulations and company policies on site.
• Work with site supervisor to troubleshoot operational issues on the job.
• Contribute to project success by delivering high-quality work within timelines.
• Assist on-ground tasks such as drainage installation, concreting, and hand-tool use.
