Construction Director – Melbourne

Lead the construction function across Victoria for a leading workplace design and delivery business with over 30 years of experience delivering premium commercial workplace projects across Australia and New Zealand. The company is known for its integrated approach to strategy, design, estimating and construction, building a reputation for certainty, quality and long‑term client partnerships.

Reporting directly to the Executive Leadership Team, you will lead the construction division, providing strategic oversight across project delivery while driving operational excellence, commercial performance and team development. This is a genuine leadership role for someone who thrives on developing people, building trusted client relationships and continually improving project delivery.

You will influence business strategy while ensuring every project is delivered safely, profitably and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

About You

• Extensive leadership experience within commercial construction, workplace fit‑out or interiors.
• A proven track record managing senior delivery teams and complex project portfolios.
• Strong commercial acumen with responsibility for profitability, contracts and project risk.
• Outstanding leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to inspire high‑performing teams while maintaining exceptional client relationships.
• Experience driving operational improvements and implementing best practice delivery systems.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
