Vectiq is seeking an experienced Configuration Manager to join a major Defence program based in Canberra. This long-term engagement runs until June 2027 and offers the opportunity to play a critical role in maintaining configuration integrity and compliance across complex Defence capability systems.

About the Role

The Configuration Manager will oversee configuration management processes across multiple Defence projects, ensuring the accuracy, traceability, and control of all configuration items. Working closely with Defence stakeholders and technical teams, this role ensures all configuration activities meet Australian standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage configuration processes and data libraries to ensure traceability, accuracy, and compliance across Defence systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation such as Configuration Management Plans (CMPs) and audit reports (CSA, PCA, FCA).
• Provide configuration management training and support to project teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment with Defence standards, policies, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills and Experience

• Proven background in configuration management within Defence or complex engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of documentation control, configuration audits, and change management.
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Innovator CM) and Defence compliance frameworks.
• Active NV1 or higher security clearance and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
