Job summary

Concussion Central is seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist to join our Melbourne team. You will manage a caseload across concussion, vestibular rehab, headaches and whiplash, with private, TAC and WorkCover patients, across multiple clinics in Hoppers Crossing, Taylors Lakes and Ascot Vale.

You'll travel between sites, work up to two evenings per week, and benefit from mentoring, ongoing training and a professional development allowance.

Qualifications

• Full current AHPRA registration with at least 2 years of physiotherapy experience in Australia, the UK or NZ.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
• Current driver’s licence and own car.
• Strong interest in concussion and vestibular rehabilitation, headaches, whiplash and chronic pain.
• Experience managing TAC and WorkCover patients is desirable.
• Ability to explain complex information clearly and build trust with patients.
• Excellent communication with patients and other health professionals.
• Well organised with strong time management and planning.
• Genuine passion for learning and ongoing professional development.
• Personable, positive and enthusiastic.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with complex presentations.
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to address symptoms and support recovery.
• Provide evidence-based interventions, including vestibular and balance exercises, oculomotor retraining and manual therapy.
• Educate patients and their families about their condition and support behaviour change.
• Collaborate with GPs and other health professionals to provide multidisciplinary care.
• Maintain detailed and timely clinical records.
• Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of services.
• Promote the service through talks to GPs and sports clubs.
