Job summary

Synchro Group is seeking skilled Concrete Patchers, Formworkers and Finishers for a range of construction projects. The role requires hands-on experience in patching, formwork and finishing, with ability to read plans and comply with safety standards.

Commits to quality finishes and durable concrete structures on Canberra projects. Ideal candidates are physically fit, mandatory White Card, and have relevant trade qualifications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in concrete patching, formwork, or finishing in a construction setting.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• White Card (mandatory) and relevant trade qualifications preferred.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Patch damaged concrete surfaces using patching materials such as mortar or epoxy and prepare surfaces for patching.
• Build, install, and strip formwork for foundations, slabs, walls, and beams according to project specs.
• Apply finishing techniques to freshly poured concrete, including levelling, smoothing, and texturing.
• Ensure concrete meets durability and surface strength requirements and perform curing and sealing as needed.

Concreters, Concrete Patchers and Formwokers

We are currently seeking skilled and reliable Concrete Patchers, Formworkers, and Concrete Finishers to join our team for a range of exciting construction projects in Canberra.

Responsibilities:

Concrete Patchers:

• Repair and restore damaged concrete surfaces by applying patching materials such as mortar, epoxy, and other compounds.
• Prepare surfaces for patching by cleaning, priming, and removing debris.
• Ensure repairs are durable, smooth, and meet the required specifications.
• Conduct quality checks on patched surfaces for consistency and appearance.

Formworkers:

• Build, install, and strip formwork for foundations, slabs, walls, and beams, following project specifications and safety guidelines.
• Measure and cut formwork materials accurately to fit project requirements.
• Work with the team to ensure that formwork is properly supported, aligned, and braced.
• Collaborate with the crew to ensure smooth and timely delivery of concrete projects.
• Apply finishing techniques to freshly poured concrete, including levelling, smoothing, and texturing.
• Use tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds to achieve a high-quality finish.
• Ensure the concrete meets both aesthetic and functional requirements, including durability and surface strength.
• Perform curing and sealing of concrete to ensure long-lasting results.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in concrete patching, formwork, or finishing in a construction setting.
• Strong knowledge of concrete materials, tools, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Good understanding of safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• White Card (mandatory) and relevant trade qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Carpentry or similar) preferred.
• Physically fit, able to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
