Job summary

Workfast is seeking an experienced Concreter to join a Waste Management & Recycling Facility in New Chum, QLD. You will mix, pour and finish concrete to support internal roadways and site maintenance, with a focus on safety and quality.

Typical day is 6:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with penalties and allowances included in pay. Applicants must hold Australian working rights and a valid driver's licence.

Qualifications

• Concreting experience including boxing, pouring and screeding.
• Australian Driver's Licence and full working rights.
• Physically demanding, hands-on role with teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Work with returned concrete for internal roadway construction and maintenance.
• Complete boxing, pouring and screeding of concrete.
• Assist with repairs and other on-site projects as required.
• Prepare work areas and ensure concrete finishes meet standards.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean site.

This role will involve working with returned concrete to support the construction and maintenance of internal roadways and assist with other projects across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with returned concrete for internal roadway construction and maintenance
• Complete boxing, pouring and screeding of concrete
• Assist with concrete repairs and other on-site projects as required
• Prepare work areas and ensure concrete is finished to the required standard
• Follow site safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Assist with additional duties as required

What You Bring to the Team:

• Previous concreting experience, including boxing, pouring and screeding
• Australian Driver's Licence and full Australian working rights
• Ability to work in a physically demanding, hands-on role
• A strong work ethic and reliable approach to work
• Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
