Workfast is seeking a Batcher Operator to join our concrete plant in Maroochydore, QLD. You will oversee batching machinery, monitor automated systems and assist with loader operations, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Batcher Operator or similar role preferred.
• Front end loader ticket required or preferred.
• Australian Driver's Licence and full working rights.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage operation of batching machinery and equipment.
• Operate and monitor automated systems to dispense materials and ensure consistent concrete production.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections and troubleshooting to minimise downtime.
• Coordinate with drivers via radio to ensure timely deliveries and workflow.
• Handle customer inquiries and take orders over the phone with accurate processing.
• Assist with front-end loader operations when on site.
• Assist with manual handling and lifting tasks as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the operation of machinery and equipment used in the production and mixing of concrete at the plant.
• Operate and monitor automated systems to accurately dispense materials and ensure consistent concrete production.
• Conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of batching machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime.
• Communicate effectively with drivers via radio to coordinate deliveries and ensure smooth workflow.
• Handle customer inquiries and take orders over the phone, ensuring excellent customer service and accurate order processing.
• Operate front-end loaders when necessary, with training provided on-site for this equipment.
• Assist with manual handling and lifting tasks as required to support plant operations.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for both yourself and colleagues.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Previous experience as a Batcher Operator or similar role, (preferred)
• Front end loader ticket and experiences
• Australian Driver's Licence and full working rights.
• Prior experience in a Similar role.
• Full Australian working rights
• Ability to pass pre employment medical & drug and alcohol test.
• A can-do attitude with a willingness to engage in physically demanding tasks when necessary.
• Professionalism and a commitment to team collaboration and workplace safety.
