Job summary

Boral Launceston Concrete Plant is seeking a committed leader to oversee operations, manage a team of Operators and drivers, and drive safety and efficiency across all plant activities in Launceston. You will coordinate materials, batching, and delivery while upholding safety and quality standards.

A strong track record in supervision and a passion for results are essential for success. Permanent, full-time role with mentoring from industry leaders.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing/supervising teams in a similar role.
• Sound computer skills or experience in production systems/software.
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A passion and desire to achieve results
• Flexibility and willingness to cover several responsibilities across the plant as required.
• Strong interest or experience in the construction industry.
• Committed to a culture of safety and zero harm.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team of Operators and drivers within the plant.
• Communicating and coordinating with fleet of agitator drivers.
• Ordering raw material stock of cement, sand, aggregates, additive chemicals, etc.
• Batching pre-mix concrete into agitator trucks for delivery.
• Facilitate safety initiatives including pre-starts, toolboxes, and incident reporting.
• Ensuring that general yard housekeeping, maintenance and plant operations are undertaken.
• Providing a high level of service with internal and external stakeholders (customers, dispatching team, drivers, management, etc.)

Lead and support our dynamic team at Boral’s Launceston Concrete Plant and play a key role in Building Something Great.

The primary focus of this role will be to oversee operations and will involve day-to-day decision making, delegation of tasks and enforcing of safety rules, policies and procedures.

You will play a key part in the Boral’s Tasmanian leadership team and will ensure the plant is operating to its highest standards.

Your day will involve

• Leading a team of Operators and drivers within the plant.
