Job summary

Concrete Drafting in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs is seeking a full-time drafting technician to join our busy, growing team. You will read architectural and structural drawings, draft concrete wall panel layouts, elevations, and on-site drawings for concreters.

Ideal candidate has 2D AutoCAD and/or 3D Tekla experience, an education in the building industry, and the ability to visualise in 3D from 2D plans. We offer flexible hours and potential work-from-home arrangements.

The successful applicant will have the following skills and attributes:

• Some 2D AutoCAD experience and/or 3D Tekla experience.
• Some experience in concrete panel detailing is preferred but not required.
• An educational and/or work background in the building industry.
• The ability to visualise in 3D from 2D drawings.
• Strongattention to detail and possess a high degree of accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Be self-motivated and disciplined with a strong work ethic.

Tasks would entail:

• Reading and understanding architectural and structural engineering plans.
• Drawing concrete wall panel layout plans, panel elevations and individual wall panel drawings for concreter use on site.
• Liaising with concreters, builders, architects, engineers and structural steeldetailers.
• Visiting job sites.

Willing to train those with no concrete panel detailing experience. Ideal for drafting and engineering students or new graduates.

Salary and hours are negotiable for the right candidate and is based on experience.
