Job summary

Holcim is seeking a Concrete Agitator Driver to deliver concrete to local construction sites across the Cairns region. You will operate modern agitator trucks, maintain safety and quality, and contribute to a supportive team.

The role includes training, a safety-focused culture, and opportunities to advance within Holcim’s transport and logistics operations, with a commitment to diversity and equal opportunity.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Experience driving heavy vehicles (on-road HR). Agitator experience is a bonus, but training is provided.
• Strong commitment to personal and site safety and responsible driving practices.
• Clear interpersonal skills to liaise with dispatchers, plant managers, and site teams.

• Safe operations: Transport concrete to local delivery sites using modern equipment.
• Vehicle & safety care: Perform pre- and post-trip checks and report maintenance needs.
• Customer interaction: Act as a positive face of Holcim with clients on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safe Operations: Transport concrete to local delivery sites safely and efficiently using modern equipment.
• Vehicle & Safety Care: Conduct routine pre- and post-trip vehicle checks, reporting maintenance needs to keep equipment in top shape.
• Customer Interaction: Serve as a positive face of Holcim, building strong relationships with clients on site.
• Compliance & Standards: Follow road safety regulations, site guidelines, and complete basic electronic/paperwork delivery records.
• Team Collaboration: Work alongside a friendly team committed to maintaining a clean, inclusive, and welcoming work environment.

What We're Looking For

• License Requirements: A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Driving Experience: Previous heavy vehicle driving experience (on-road HR experience). Agitator experience is a bonus, but comprehensive hands-on training is provided.
• Safety First Mindset: Dedicated to personal safety, site safety, and responsible driving practices.
• Communication Skills: Clear interpersonal skills to liaise with dispatchers, plant managers, and site teams.
• Adaptability & Drive: Ability to handle physical tasks associated with vehicle management and maintain focus in a dynamic environment.
