Job summary

IT Hub Canberra Pty Ltd in Brisbane is seeking a network engineer to design, install, configure and maintain IT networks and operating systems, with a focus on Microsoft Entra ID and Azure environments.

You will work across LAN/WAN, VPNs, and security, installing servers and network gear, performing site surveys, and coordinating with clients on domain controllers and VLANs. A degree in IT and experience with Cisco and Microsoft environments are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Cisco and Microsoft environments.
• Experience in Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, develop, and evaluate system design and architecture specifications, data models, and diagrams for network integration.
• Research and monitor network infrastructure to guarantee peak performance, security, and availability.
• Install and configure servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and workstation software.
• Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, and internet security frameworks, access controls, and firewall policies.
• Diagnose hardware and software faults, resolve connectivity bottlenecks, and provide emergency technical support.
• Install and configure IT networks including site surveys for IT cabling requirements.
• Install and configure operating systems and software, including servers, workstations, and LAN/WAN.
• Configure and troubleshoot SD-WAN systems.
• Coordinate with clients for domain controller requirements, LAN network preparation, router and switch configuration, and VLAN setup.
• Monitor network traffic, activity, capacity, and usage to ensure continued integrity and optimal network performance.

About the role
