Job summary

Perigon Group is seeking a Compliance Officer for a national law firm in Sydney CBD. The role is centered on supporting the firm’s compliance framework, ensuring documentation, processes and reporting are maintained to a high standard.

You will engage in compliance reviews, reporting, and operational projects with hybrid flexible work options after probation. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in compliance or similar fields and strong MS Office skills, with a focus on detail and process

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience in compliance, risk or governance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review detailed documentation.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office applications.

Our client is a leading national law firm seeking a Compliance Officer to join their Operations team following an internal career move.

This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional looking to grow their career within a supportive professional services environment, with exposure across compliance reviews, reporting, process improvement and operational projects.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting the firm's compliance framework, ensuring documentation, processes and reporting requirements are maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Reviewing case files, reports and documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Supporting compliance reviews and internal reporting
• Identifying process improvements and supporting operational initiatives
• Maintaining accurate records and compliance documentation
• Working with internal stakeholders to resolve queries and improve processes

About You

• 1-2 years' experience in compliance, risk, governance, legal operations or a similar environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review detailed documentation
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Enjoys working with detail, processes and problem-solving.

Legal industry experience is desirable, however candidates from other regulated industries such as financial services, insurance or government will be considered.
