Job summary

Optus is seeking a Complex Fraud Analyst to detect, investigate, and prevent customer, subscription, and network fraud. You will work in External Fraud Risk to identify emerging trends and deliver insights that strengthen fraud risk controls.

This role requires strong data analysis, experience with large datasets, and the ability to communicate complex findings to management. You will partner with stakeholders to resolve issues and contribute to fraud awareness initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fraud, risk, investigations, or analytical role.
• Strong data analysis skills and experience with large datasets.
• Identify trends, investigate complex issues, and deliver recommendations.
• Knowledge of telecommunications products is highly regarded.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and analyse customer, subscription, and network fraud incidents.
• Monitor high-risk activity and identify emerging fraud trends.
• Perform data analysis to uncover risks and support fraud prevention strategies.
• Partner with stakeholders to investigate, resolve, and remediate fraud issues.
• Provide recommendations to strengthen fraud controls and processes.
• Prepare insights, reports, and findings for management and senior leaders.
• Support fraud awareness and education initiatives across the business.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and Optus policies.
