Job summary

Churches of Christ in Queensland – Ipswich QLD is seeking caring Home Care Workers to support older Australians across Ipswich, Laidley and Boonah. If you hold a Certificate III in Individual Support and enjoy making a difference, we'd love to hear from you. Previous experience and medication competency highly regarded.

You’ll provide companionship, assist with household tasks, transport to appointments, and help clients stay independent at home within a supportive team and with ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) required.
• Current driver\'s licence and access to a reliable, registered and comprehensively insured vehicle for work purposes.
• Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Valid Australian working rights (sponsorship is not available).

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with everyday household tasks, including light cleaning, meal preparation and shopping.
• Support clients with transport to appointments and community activities.
• Encourage independence, dignity and wellbeing through personalised care.
• Build positive relationships with clients while respecting their individual needs and preferences.
